Rhuddlan Nature Reserve is one of those lovely hidden gems that’s perfect for slower family adventures. With flat tarmac paths, ponds full of wildlife and plenty of space to wander, it’s ideal for little legs, scooters, balance bikes and pushchairs. There’s a small free car park right by the entrance, so you can get straight into exploring without a long walk beforehand - always a win with young children.
One of the most exciting things for children to spot is the giant bird sculpture tucked away within the reserve. We think it might be a cormorant… but we’ll let your little explorers decide!
