Accessibility Statement for Kid Friendly North Wales

Last updated: 27 July 2026

Our Commitment to Accessibility

Kid Friendly North Wales is committed to making our website as accessible and inclusive as possible for everyone.

We want families, businesses, organisations and visitors across North Wales to be able to access and enjoy our content regardless of their abilities, the technology they use or the way they access the internet.

Accessibility is an ongoing process, and we are continually reviewing and improving our website as it grows.

Our Approach

When developing and updating our website, we aim to follow recognised accessibility best practice, including the principles of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA as our long-term goal, wherever reasonably possible.

While we are continually improving the accessibility of our website, we recognise that some areas may not yet fully meet these guidelines. We are committed to identifying and addressing accessibility issues as part of our ongoing development.

What We're Doing

We are working to ensure our website:

  • can be navigated using a keyboard where practical;

  • works with modern browsers and common assistive technologies;

  • uses appropriate colour contrast to improve readability;

  • supports responsive viewing across desktop, tablet and mobile devices;

  • provides alternative text for meaningful images where appropriate;

  • uses headings and page structures to improve navigation;

  • includes descriptive links wherever possible;

  • is regularly reviewed as new content and features are added.

Areas We're Continuing to Improve

As our website grows, we continue to review and improve areas such as:

  • ensuring custom or complex functionality can be used via keyboard;

  • providing alternative text on all images across the website where applicable;

  • page titles and heading structures;

  • image alternative text on older content;

  • descriptive link text;

  • consistency of language and navigation;

  • accessibility of content supplied by third parties.

We are committed to making ongoing improvements as part of our normal website maintenance.

Third-Party Content

Some pages may include content provided by third parties, including embedded videos, maps, booking platforms, social media feeds and business listings.

Although we encourage our partners to provide accessible content wherever possible, we cannot guarantee the accessibility of third-party services or websites.

External Websites

Our website contains links to third-party websites, including local businesses, attractions, booking platforms, tourism organisations and other external services.

If you choose to follow a link to a website that is not operated by Kid Friendly North Wales, you will leave our website. We are not responsible for the accessibility, content, privacy practices or availability of external websites, and this Accessibility Statement does not apply to them.

We encourage you to review the accessibility, privacy and other policies of any external website you visit.
