We’ve all been there…

You’ve got a couple of hours free and fancy getting out of the house with the pram, but you don’t want to do the same walk you’ve done a hundred times before. You want somewhere new.

But then the questions start.

Is there parking? Is it pram-friendly? Will there be a toilet nearby because your toddler has just started potty training? Will they actually enjoy it, or will you spend the whole time wishing you’d stayed at home?

Maybe your little one has outgrown the same old soft play centre, but your brain is already full with work, washing, packed lunches and everything else life throws at you.

Or perhaps you’ve got a teenager who’s impossible to impress, alongside younger children who still need somewhere fun to burn off some energy.

Then there are holidays.

You’re planning a trip to North Wales and know there are amazing places to explore, but where do you actually start? What happens if it rains? Where can you eat where you can relax while the kids have space to be kids? Which accommodation will actually work for your family?

And then there’s the small matter of filling the six-week summer holidays…!

These are the questions we found ourselves asking again and again.

So, we decided to do something about it.

Why we created this website

We’re three local parents who have spent years exploring North Wales with our own families (growing up and now!).

Between us, we’ve tried the muddy walks, the rainy days out, the “will this actually entertain them?” activities and the places that are worth going back to again and again.

We want to share what we’ve discovered along the way - the beaches where you can spend an entire day hunting for shells, the walks with views that make you stop in your tracks, the hidden gems you might drive past without realising they’re there, and the family-friendly places that make a day out feel easy rather than stressful.

Because we know that finding somewhere to go isn’t always as simple as it sounds.

Sometimes you just need somewhere that ticks the right boxes: somewhere the kids will enjoy, somewhere that works for different ages, somewhere you don’t need to spend hours researching before you leave the house.

Our love for North Wales

We genuinely love where we live.

North Wales is an incredible place for families. From mountains and coastlines to adventure parks, cosy cafés, rainy-day activities and those little places you only discover when you know where to look, we truly believe it’s one of the best family destinations in the UK.

(Although we might be slightly biased!)

Some of our favourite family memories have come from simply packing a picnic, jumping in the car and discovering somewhere new. We want other families to experience those moments too.

But we also know that having somewhere amazing on your doorstep doesn’t always mean it’s easy to find the right place to go - especially when you’re already juggling so much.

That’s why we created this website.

Making family days out easier

Whether you’re a local looking for somewhere new, visiting North Wales for a weekend, or travelling from abroad, we want to help you spend less time searching and more time making memories.

Ultimately, we just want to save other parents the time (and stress) we’ve spent searching for somewhere that actually works for the whole family.

More than just parents

Behind the website, we’re not just parents.

Between us, we bring over 40 years of combined experience in design, web development and marketing.

We’ve worked with well-known child-friendly organisations and attractions, including Chester Zoo and Scouts, as well as a wide range of B2B and B2C businesses, from local start-ups and independent businesses to national brands.

We’re bringing that experience into everything we do — from creating an easy-to-use website for families to helping great local businesses and attractions connect with the people who are looking for them.

Helping families discover the best of North Wales

North Wales has so much to offer, but knowing where to start can sometimes feel overwhelming.

We’re here to make it easier.

Whether you’re looking for a last-minute idea, planning a family holiday, searching for somewhere to eat, finding a rainy-day activity or discovering somewhere new on your doorstep, we want to help you find places that create brilliant family memories.

Because family time matters.

And finding somewhere to go shouldn’t be the hardest part.
